The Chicago Pro is a prestigious competition of the IFBB Pro League, dating back to the 1980s. So, winning a match at this stage will help you rise up the ranks of your division. Dr. Jessica Wilson now knows she won the bikini division title at the 2022 Chicago Pro. Additionally, she is now eligible to compete in the 2022 Bikini Olympia, which will be held at Planet Hollywood on the weekend of December 16-18 in Las Vegas, NV.
Wilson was recently a guest on The Foot Rockstar Show, and host Isabel Turrell asked him about his feelings about both the victory and the opportunity to compete for the world championship in his division for the second time.
“I think the second time around, it’s sunk in a different way,” Wilson said. “When I think about 2021 and how long it took me to get to that first Olympia, almost eight years, I think I was in the oohing and aahing phase of the whole thing last year.”
Turrell asked her what her expectations are for this year’s Olympia now that she’s returning instead of debuting.
“I see myself better than last year. Last week, I watched the clips again because you have to study,” he explained. Wilson was 11th at Olympia in 2021, but she plans to place much higher in Vegas than in Orlando.
“That’s what I’m planning for, not just to crack the top ten, but to crack the top five, maybe. It’s going to be a big show, but I know as long as I If I do my job every single day and don’t miss a step, don’t cheat, don’t miss the mark, then I know I’m ready.
