He’s the New York Times bestselling author of 11 business books—we could go on and on about what he’s been up to in business, sales, and marketing.

While he seems “on” all the time, it was only four years ago that Cardone experienced the aches and pains of more than 30 years of building his empire. Knowing that he needed to maintain his health, and did not want to undergo various surgeries that would immobilize him and put him on painkillers, he began researching ways to combat the wear and tear on his body. How to do He came in contact with Gary Breca, the CEO of Streamline Medical Group. Breca ran some tests on Cardone and devised a new procedure for the then 60-year-old.

The results were so good that Grant Cardone offered to buy the company and partner with Brecka to create 10X Health Systems, which focuses on preventive health programs that provide customized health care based on individualized genetic testing. Provide access to solutions. Cardone credits the system with helping him get in the best shape of his life, and he’s feeling like he’s the best he’s ever been. 6 Ways to Make Money in the Fitness Industry

Grant Cardone keeps getting 10X better.

My routine is to wake up in the morning and exercise. We have an oxygen bag with 900 cubic liters of pure oxygen that I use while riding a stationary bike. I will do my exercise. There is a magnetic mat. I basically do an infrared bed at least once a day to start repairing the damage of the 60 plus years. That was four years ago, and now I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in. It has solved 99% of my problems. I run 18 companies, so keeping track of everything requires you to be clean, energized, and not in pain. When you are in pain, you focus on your pain. Not your plan. Now, I’m only hitting the main core muscles. I just have to keep doing it all. I’m 64, and things are starting to fall apart. I do my routine, which is leg day, back day, arms, and then rotate it. I also do a lot of cardio—though not enough.

Without 10X Health, I’d probably be in the hospital right now with a heart attack. I would probably have to have both knees replaced. My ankle must have been operated. Both of my rotator cuffs have healed completely with no abnormalities. It’s probably four surgeries, a heart condition, and I’ll probably still be overweight. Also, I’m not in perfect condition. I look at Mark Wahlberg and think, “God damn, Mark looks good!” And that is an inspiration to me. The only thing I haven’t gotten right is my diet. I love chocolates, and I’m not that strict on my diet.

I think the biggest mistake is that I don’t eat enough, and I don’t drink enough water. I ate [business] Deals – This is how I fill myself. I haven’t figured out the diet thing. I know it’s not that complicated either. It just needs to use a lot of water, and I’m not doing that. I also need to eat more often. The only other time I lost weight was when I was eating every two hours. I had tried going vegan before, and it was a huge improvement for me. I was shooting Secret Billionaire. I was in Pueblo for three months and there was a farm behind this RV, where I was staying. I used to go there and bring vegetables, and that’s how I lived for 90 days.

Never give up on sleep.

Nevermind, I get eight hours of sleep. I tried sleep deprivation, and it was horrible for me. I did this for years when I was coming up. From 29 to 35, I was sleep deprived. Now, I try to get down at 9pm and get up at 6am every day to beat the sun. I spend a lot of time with my family. They hang out with me wherever I go. We homeschool our children so they can travel with us. Sometimes, they like to travel with us, and sometimes they don’t. But I love traveling with them. I wake up in the morning, look at my money first, and look at every account I have. I hit this oxygen bag on the bike, get my workout in, and then it works all day. It is focusing on my business and meetings and then sleeps and does it again the next day.

Grant Cardone shares motivational tips to keep moving forward.

The thing that allows people to stay up, stay active, and that no one ever talks about, is winning. If you’re not winning when you exercise, you’ll stop exercising. People who don’t get results stop exercising, and people who do, keep exercising. The same is true in business. Motivated people are motivated because they are winning. They are making money, acquiring customers, or making a difference for their customers. I win a lot, and I believe it is very important to my mental, physical and financial health.

The mindset comes from being dissatisfied for so many years of my life. I will go to a therapist and ask what happened to me. I told them that I was disappointed and dissatisfied with myself. The therapist will tell me I have depression, and they want to treat me with drugs. I wasn’t doing drugs. They’ll just try to sweep those thoughts under the rug, but what’s wrong with me being disappointed in myself? The therapist will ask, “What’s wrong with loving yourself the way you are?” Because I don’t love myself when I’m working below my potential. I will not lie to myself because I know I can do more. I think that’s what keeps me going. I know I can do more, and if I know I should do more. I no longer use disappointment to make me depressed. I use it to inspire me to be all that I can be.

Grant Kardon essential vitamins for successful entrepreneurs.

Vitamin D is discipline. I have not been lucky. I’ve been running it for 35 years. I’m waking up, trying to get the ball down the field. Also, vitamin E, which is energy. You have to bring energy to the game, and the way I do that is I keep reinventing myself. I am not who I was 30 years ago, 20 years ago, or even five years ago. It’s easier to do more than less, and it’s easier to get excited about doing more than less. Not much of a problem. More people have more fun; More deals are more fun. More money is more fun; And even more problems can be fun, as long as they’re big and juicy. That’s the difference between a truly successful entrepreneur and an Instagram wannabe. No offense, but social media is causing a lot of drama. There are a lot of people who give advice before they actually give it. I would say that the guys that I know have made it, they make it and go to another level, and they keep going. They regenerate themselves, have great discipline and energy, and are high in vitamin C, which is courage. When they see something, they move and all go for it.
